Finding Shelter Animal Rescue started on January 1, 2010 and our first year was a huge success! When we started our all-volunteer rescue, we knew that we could not do it without the help of many people in the community. We owe a great deal of gratitude to the following businesses and organizations who have helped us along the way...
3D Collision Centers
West Chester - Spring City Oxford - Haverford - Wayne
Many thanks to 3D Collision Centers for donating the Finding Shelter van through the NABC Recycled Rides program. The fully customized van was a generous gift that allows us to easily transport our animals on rescue missions, medical appointments, to adoption events and to their forever homes!
Bark Avenue Boutique
Donna Marie Buscaglia at Bark Avenue Boutique has been a strong supporter of Finding Shelter's from the beginning! Whether it is donations to an auction event or promotion of Finding Shelter adoptable animals, we have a true friend in Bark Avenue Boutique!
Brindisi Animal Foundation
Al and Jean Brindisi of the Brindisi Animal Foundation have been strong financial supporters from the start! Their generosity has allowed us to provide for our animals to make them healthier and happier. Many thanks, Al and Jean for everything!
Buzzy's Bow Wow Meow
Buzzy Miller and his wife, Judi Goldstein, are some of the strongest supporters of homeless animals in the Greater Philadelphia region. Buzzy's Bow Wow Meow has provided a place for Finding Shelter's volunteers to take adoptable animals and introduce them to potential new families!
Finding Shelter was the lucky beneficiary of Eagle Chiropractic's Patient Appreciation Day. Not only did our animals have the benefit of going to the event to meet and greet potential new families, but Finding Shelter also received 100% of the proceeds from the day's events. Many thanks, Eagle Chiropractic!
Fit For A Dog
Whether it is an adoption event, pictures with Santa, or helping terrific families in need of a pet make their way to Finding Shelter, Susan McIntyre along with her terrific staffers, Vanessa and Cheli, have been there from the beginning for Finding Shelter. Their generosity and creativity know no bounds when it comes to our lovable, adoptables. Many thanks to everyone at Fit For A Dog for setting the gold standard for animal care and community partnerships!
Happy Tails Pet Care Family
Phil and Tracey Maloney provide the best care and love for the animals who need them most, especially their Finding Shelter fosters! There is nothing better than seeing a homeless animal picked up by a stretch limo and taken to one of the nicest facilities around to start their journey towards a new life!
Not only is Jay Clark an incredible singer and songwriter, but he is also a lover of animals, especially Finding Shelter's! Jay traveled from his home in the mountains of Tennessee all the way up to Pennsylvania just for Finding Shelter! On October 2, 2010 we held our first fundraiser and it was a HUGE success! We hope to make this an annual event. Thanks, Jay!
What could be more fun than helping homeless animals and enjoying great wine? We can't think of anything better! Carol and Jim Kirkpatrick have been so generous to allow Finding Shelter dogs to meet potential families at the vineyard and at the dog-friendly tasting room in downtown West Chester, PA. We have a great time showing off our fabulous dogs at Kreutz Creek!
Longwood Veterinary Hospital
The doctors and staff at Longwood Veterinary Center take wonderful care of our dogs and cats! Their gentle and kind approach to animal care keeps our dogs and cats healthy! Thank you, Longwood!
Metropolitan Veterinary Associates
We thank Dr. Jacqui Niles and the other doctors and staff at Metropolitan for all of the wonderful care they take of our animals with extra-special needs. The specialized care has been all of the difference for our dogs who needed surgery in order for them to live long, pain-free lives.
Peace For Puppies
There is nothing more inspiring than spending time with Lizzie Penna and her mother, Ali Roberts. They have been such fantastic friends to Finding Shelter and to animals in need in our community. Peace for Puppies is one of the best supporters of local animal rescues and Lizzie is such an incredible voice of advocacy and inspiration for children everywhere. We love Peace for Puppies!
Progressive Dog Training
Wendy Young of Progressive Dog Training is the best gentle methods dog trainer in the region and we are so fortunate to have her leading the way for dog training and behavior at Finding Shelter. Not only does Wendy provide assistance to our volunteers, a foster home for some of our dogs and gentle methods instruction to our dogs at events but she also offers a lifetime of free phone consultations to all of our adopters. As Wendy always says, "you can send any dog to a new home, but keeping them there is a different story." We are so lucky to have Wendy helping us!
Radnor Veterinary Hospital
Dr. Len Donato, Dr. Kim Bowers, and Dr. Jeffrey Stanzo are some of the leaders in veterinary care in the region. Their stellar care of our animals and wonderful service allow us to keep our animals healthy and happy. Their support of our rescue includes adoptions to some of the staff! We don't know what we would do without Radnor!
The Spayed Club
Many thanks to Dr. Alexander and the staff and volunteers at The Spayed Club. Not only does the Spayed Club offer wonderful care to our rescue, but also has had a huge impact in our community. Thank you, Spayed Club!
Our list of faithful friends is always growing and we appreciate all of the support!
